Happy Arbor Day! A reminder that for the past few years we have partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree for every skateboard you buy at BoardPusher.com. Last year alone, you replanted 44 acres and your contributions will have a 40-year impact of 32,017 metric tons of carbon dioxide sequestered, 145 tons of air pollution removed, and 49 million gallons of rainfall intercepted. Give yourselves a tail tap and a “YEW!”

This entire Arbor Day weekend, you will be planting ten trees for every deck you purchase from BoardPusher.com Custom Skateboards. Please use coupon code HANDPLANT now through Sunday, April 30th, to let us know of your intent to contribute.

In 2023 BoardPusher is excited to help out on 2 new ventures. You will be assisting in the reforestation of the Bootleg Fire project in Oregon and the Chippewa National Forest project in Minnesota. More information on these endeavors can be found below.

As always, a big shout-out goes to the Arbor Day Foundation for their tireless efforts to make our world a better place and for allowing us to participate. Remember, you can always donate directly to them at arborday.org.

The Bootleg Fire project in Oregon, planting Ponderosa Pine, Lodgepole Pine, White Fir

  • In 2021, the Bootleg Fire devastated 413,765 acres of forest in southern Oregon, including the Klamath Falls Basin. This area is a hub for biodiversity and in great need of restoration. Tree planting efforts here will provide a home for bald eagles, big game, and small mammals while also playing a critical role in restoring water quality in the Klamath River.

The Chippewa National Forest project in Minnesota, planting Balsam Fir, Yellow Birch, Tamarack, Jack Pine, White Spruce + others

  • Chippewa National Forest has faced many issues in recent history, including strong wind events, insects, and disease. The result is an acute need for reforestation. Replanting efforts will reestablish native tree species, provide essential habitat for area wildlife including the American bald eagle, and improve forest stand resilience to climate change.
