When I started with FunFractals, my focus was squarely on creating fractals that are fun to interact with and look at. You might be wondering, how do you interact with an image? Well, the use of standard/Pro ChromaDepth 3D glasses provides that answer. With them, the hidden stereoscopic optical illusions of my art can be enjoyed. Warm colors (red, orange, yellow) float off the image. Green is neutral. Cool colors (blue, indigo, violet) sink into & below the image. Increasing the viewing duration and distance strengthens the illusion of depth. Each color appears to be glowing, neon, floating on its layer of glass. You can even be part of the illusions by reaching your hand out to manipulate where you're seeing the colors. Putting yourself into the illusion until you break it by contacting the decorated object, person, or artwork. These wonderful 3D glasses even cause colors that appear neon or UV to function like blacklight art without the need for UV lamps or red/blue LEDs. This is especially trippy for color-rich tattoos, nature walks, laser and drone shows, gaming, Legos and similar building bricks, comics, movies, etc.
But over time I started to experiment with and explore other ideas. Which is why you will see more than fractals and psychedelic art in my portfolio. I started making fractals in 1996. These blossomed over the coming decades into 272,300. With the use of new, faster rendering tools, I now have around half a million artworks.
