Warm colors (red, orange, yellow) float off the image. Green is neutral. Cool colors (blue, indigo, violet) sink into & below the image. Increasing the viewing duration and distance strengthens the illusion of depth. Each color appears to be glowing, neon, floating on its own layer of glass.
