Lefty Limbo's Skate Shop is the brainchild of Greg Narvas, whose random art runs rampant on his blog, Lefty Limbo. After discovering Boardpusher.com, he found the perfect opportunity to use blank skateboard decks as his new canvas.
Each 100% Canadian Maple deck features an original illustration by Narvas, completely hand-drawn in black ink, then scanned to Photoshop for colorization.
The result? Original, unique works of art that look just as good hanging on a wall as they do shredding the street. As an avid artist, skater and father to a future shredder, Greg insists that his boards are of the best quality in both print and performance, and Boardpusher.com has exceeded his expectations. At left is the very first board to roll off Lefty Limbo's production line, ordered and photographed by Greg himself, on the day of its arrival. In his words:
"I was both excited and worried about receiving the board," Greg said. "I'd never done anything like this before, and I hoped my art would come out the way I wanted it to. After about 3-4 days of waiting, the board arrived, and it was beautiful—even better than what I was expecting."
So Greg's given the green light on the rest of his boards, and all the presses here at Lefty Limbo's Skate Shop are on full tilt. Get 'em while they're hot.
